Plain But Beautiful
It is red,
It is yellow,
It is black.
It may look plaid
And plain, but to me it is beautiful.
It was a gift,
One to keep me warm in the winter.
Back then it seemed lame, but now it is
The best thing on the market.
It was a present from great grandma,
One of many.
Then it held no value to me,
But now it is priceless.
With this I will hold her to
My heart forever.
For now she is gone, but never
Forgotten, and it all I have left of her.
This gift is irreplaceable.
