I come from the streets of 7 mile,
Where I LOST many friends but GAINED many more,
The streets where GUNS and DRUGS were very common,
Where kids played in the streets where CONDOMS laid,
CONDOMS from crooked jobs of the women,
The women STUCK in the system,
The system of PROSTITUTING,
Chicks getting’ PIMPED,
Just to get some MONEY for a quick fix,
Because their BROKEN,
So they use DRUGS not knowin’ its harmin’ em,
The streets where GUNS are sold to KIDS,
Kids that take the GUNS and SHOOT they ol’ bestfriends,
The streets where KIDs use DRUGS as they THERPHY,
Cause they moms and pops is too busy arguein’,
The streets where KIDS don’t EAT,
And some DONT even got SHOES on they FEET,
The streets where the KIDS run the BLOCK,
They even got the ol’ people scared to call da cops,
The streets where many DON’T make it OUT,
And when you do all you can do is SHOUT,
SHOUT FOR JOY,
SHOUT FOR HAPPINESS,
SHOUT FOR PEACE AT LAST,
