Gasping for air
at the sight of his stare.
What does it mean?
What do I care?
For better or worse,
Let's sound less rehearsed.
Wanting the real,
to no longer feel empty.
There is a time and a place,
When you will catch up to my pace,
look at me in the eye,
and tell me something more than lies.
