I lie awake at night

With your face swimming in pools of memories

And I take the time to recreate

Whimsical, romantic fantasies.

I will be the damsel,

Very much distressed,

And you would be gallant

As you gather me up and take me far away.

You would be a prince,

Searching for a bride,

And I would be the unlikely choice

With song birds carrying my veil.

I have bizarre fantasies about being swept off my feet by Prince Charming.
