Ice Box
My heart,
So ice cold,
Burns with a touch
Her heart,
So warm,
Warms me up.
But my heart,
Still overwhelmed
By a heartbreak.
It couldn’t warm
Quick enough,
It was too late
With a blink of an eye,
She disappeared.
She became impatient,
Waiting for me to love her.
She moved on,
And I was in love.
So I built up those ice walls
Around my heart.
Now there’s an ice box where my heart used
