If I Could Have a Day
If I could have a year
to do whatever I pleased,
I'd see the world
and fly to every corner of the earth
I'd meet new people
learn new things
and I wouldn't be afraid of wasted time
If I could have a month
to do whatever I pleased,
I'd take a road trip
all over the nation
and see everything
from the Empire State Building
to the Golden Gate bridge
I'd spend money to make memories
and I wouldn't be afraid of wasting time.
If I could have a day
to do whatever I pleased,
I'd drive to the beach
and build a castle made of sand
I'd soak up the sun
and then watch the moon rise above the water
and I wouldn't be afraid of wasting time.
If I could have an hour
to do whatever I pleased,
I'd go for a bike ride through town
and enjoy the wind
as it tickles my cheek
I'd breath in the air
and glide down the sidewalk
and I wouldn't be afraid of wasting time.
If I could have a minute
to do whatever I pleased,
I'd tell my little brother how wonderful he is
and how he's the best little brother a person could have
no matter how much we disagree
and I wouldn't be afraid of wasting time
If I could have a second
to do whatever I pleased,
I'd look up to the sky
past the clouds and the endless blue
and I'd be thankful for every second of my life
and I would ever again be afraid of wasting time
