I Used To Believe..

I used to believe that people were good.
I used to believe that they would never hurt me,
Never say mean things,
Never do me wrong.
I used to believe that everyone loved each other,
No one could harm another.
Through all I’d seen,
I still believed that people were good.
Innocent.
Pure.
Honest.
But as I grew older,
and removed the veil of childhood innocence
I realized,
I
Believed
Wrong.
