Black sheep wanders in the dead of night
No one beside him; no one in sight
The trees taunt and tease him
Leaves whisper in the wind
Alone in the world; no one around
Yelling through the night; ‘will someone save me now?’
Black sheep can’t see through the thickness and fog
His eyes fill with tears; held back for so long
But he lifts his head, with a sigh to himself
‘If they can’t save me I have to save myself”
He wanders near and far; through darkness and silence
Wishing for a friend or someone beside him
