At the risk of failure, id rather hide from it all.

There's a drum that beats against me.
It prevents me from breaking free.

Unfortunately I need it to survive.
Ironically it makes me feel more dead than alive.

Make it beat slower, cause i'll never escape control.
You make it beat faster, to make sure ill never break the mold.

Consider this my life long disease.
The rope around my neck that I'll constantly fight to release.

Ill never break the drum, even at the lowest of my lows.
