Strangers
A smile plays on our lips
As we joyfully reminisce
On all the memories
We never shared together.
We laugh about that time
That never happened.
We paint the nostalgic picture
Of a past we never shared together.
Our relationship is nothing
But two strangers
Who have happened to cross paths.
We have no happy past together,
Only isolated incidents
Passing with out any distinguishing feature.
You are you, and I am me.
There has never been a “we” between us.
