\"Veritas Vos Liberabit\"

What is Freedom
If we cannot love.
What is Love
If they only condemn.

I asked my mother,
What is Freedom
She asked my father,
What is Nonsense

I asked the Church,
What is Love
The Church asked me,
What is Sin

What is Freedom
If we cannot love.
What is Love
If we live only to die.

What is Freedom
If we cannot live.
What is Life
If I cannot love?

The author's comments:

Prop 8 is truly "a national tragedy at the state level" (Kayla B.).

The church part is so true, along with the rest of this poem. I like it, it makes you think.
