A Mother's Attention

Even though concentration is
something she lacks, I believe
she wilt recognize,
this obstacle that has conquered me,
is much too strong for me
to take, unaccompanied.
I call for her direction,
I demand her devotion,
I dream of the day that she understands,
my biased viewpoint
it’s not a lot to ask for
at least not in my eyes.
