last night i lay in bed, looking up at the stars and i thought to myself, where the heck is the ceiling?

I walk in.
See bustling bodies
carrying fabrics
and safety pins.

Smell the
crisp perfume
and feel
sticky hairspray.

Hear the
shouts of
“Get ready!
You’re on in five.”

Ignore the
petty catfights
between
toothpick-thin models

Many people
equals many problems
but no matter,
the show still goes on.

Now Cinderella don't you go to sleep, it's such a bitter form of refuge, oh don't you know the kingdom's under siege, and everbody needs you. - The Killers

I like it; very descriptive of what it's like backstage of basically anything. Think you could check out my poem Sowing Poppies?
