Racing forward with a fast streak of light
Pushing through the fatigue with all your might
In your mind, you create the yellow tape
Your mind keeps telling you to go and escape
The crowd is cheering so you must keep going
You’re exhausted but you hide it without them knowing
Your heart is pounding and your throat burns
Your feet are killing you and your stomach turns
You think you’re going to win don’t you?
Keep that thought, and you will
