Sad and Broken

I am sad and broken,
I wonder if he knows what I feel,
I hear his loving laugh,
I see his smile,
I want to be in his arms,
I am sad and broken
I pretend he still loves me,
I feel his arms holding me,
I touch his lips,
I worry he will never come back
I cry ; because he will never know,
I am sad and broken
I understand it’s hard to trust,
I say he just needs time,
I dream about the future; we could have
I try to prove my love,
I hope he never forgets,
I am sad and broken
