Look At the World

Look at the world
See how beautiful
The sky and stars
See how lovely
See how dark

Look at the world
See how tragic
The hunger and pain
See how broken
Broken hearts

Look at the world
Is this how it was meant to be?
Is this how God created it to be?
Is this truly beautiful?
Is this truly dark?

Look at the world
See how crazed
The liars, drunken
See how deadly
See how sunken

Look at the world
See how fallen
The disbelief and anger
See how doubtful
See the danger

Look at the world
Is this how it was meant to be?
Is this how God created it to be?
Is this truly dark?
Is this truly beautiful?

Look at the world
How it was made
To be beautiful
How it was made
To be perfect
How it has become
Broken

Look at the world
How it has
Become broken
How it has
Become destruction
How it was made
To be beautiful

Can we be beautiful
In a world so broken?
Can be be beautiful
In a world so dark?
Can we reflect our maker
In a world that has
Rejected him?
Can we break the spell?
Can we heal the hurt?
Can we make it beautiful
Again?

No
No
Not without Him

I struggle with this too: the emmense amount of suffering in the world. But are you saying that human beings in ourselves cannot show compassion? I believe that there can be beauty and altruism in the world, even without the aid of a god. And if not, where would we be?

Yes, there is beauty in the world, but I believe it was all created by God.  Of course human being can show compassion.  I mean that to completely heal the world and show it true love and salvation, we need God.
