Losing him.
I got the news about the accident.
They say it was a drunk driver,
the car came out of no where and slammed into his vehicle;
For my best friend to have made it out, we needed a miracle. It was a DOA.
He wasn't promised another day.
All I hear is, 'He's in a better place,' that's all they say. I arrived at his funeral,
everyone was dressed in black; My friends life can never be brought back.
I feel someone touch my shoulder & whisper, 'I'm sorry. I know you guys were close.'
I made my way past the family he lost, and I guess if you're drinking & driving this is the cost.
I walked up to his casket, his skin looking so cold, I found myself thinking
about the words last told. I opened my mouth, to let out a scream. Nothing comes out.
No. Please, let this be a dream. But he's gone, my best friend, the one I trusted with everything.
He's no longer breathing. Don't take so many things for granted,
and don't drink and drive.
You never know what end you can bring to a life. Just listen to me,
take my advise,
it's what I'll lend.
Because of A drunk driver, I lost my
best friend;
