I seem so small
As the sky settles into the night,
Its dark blanket covering it, from the cold,
Its bright nightlights protecting it, from the dark,
I sit gazing at the phenomenon of the sky’s nightly ritual.
I sit wondering at why it does this at a certain hour each day
I sit wondering at its human like qualities and how the comment, “I seem so small.” Speaks true.
As the sky settles into the night,
Its dark blanket covering it, from the cold,
Its bright nightlights protecting it, from the dark,
I sit, and ponder about my own nightly rituals,
I sit and wonder why I do certain things at each hour every day.
I sit and wonder about my human qualities,
And I wonder,
I wonder at what’s left for me.
Especially since the saying “I seem so small.’ Speaks true
