It was all just fun and games
He would dance

they did the same
He'd jump from the porch

and they'd follow along
He'd let out a loud whistle

and there was a harmony of supporting voices following along
It was all just fun and games
He told them to blame

They blamed those who made them fail
He told them to hate

Their hate was as scorching as a fiery pit
He told them to scorn

And their eyes of hate and rage looked down on them, innocent, childlike,
Then he slaughtered
He slaughtered them,
haughtily,
with no emotion
He laughed
then killed
Laughed
then killed
Men
Women

Children
Years

Years

Years

and

years

and they still followed
Their eyes and their minds as hollow as the universe.

The author's comments:
This poem was inspired by the holocaust. It also specifically targets those who supported/supports the killing of millions of innocent people. Those whole believed Hitler had the right idea, they were/are ignorant of so much.
