Fly Away
I want to be happy.
To be with the one that makes me smile
But free to fly like a bird, high up and much higher.
To roam where I want to.
I want to be independent.
To college I will go to not be dependent.
Alone I do not want to be,
To find a balance where we both will meet.
A social worker I want to be,
To help small kids with broken wings.
I wish to let them know
That they can also roam
And that when they need a place to rest their tired wings,
A loving home will let them in
The biggest goal I wish to reach
Is to make my loving family proud of me,
Their eldest daughter.
Because they are vital to me.
As are my outstretched wings, important to me.
Together all, they help me fly higher.
