The Mist

A whole world shrouded by mist
Can’t look forward, can’t look back
If I should ever emerge
I doubt if I should ever look back

Lost inside the events of today
And reaching for tomorrow
Why did this happen?
Why today or any day?

The mist may be mysterious and deep
But I feel lost and alone
And still miles to go
And maybe ages so

If I have to walk without aim
So be it
I need out of the pain
I need out of the rain

So if I have to walk alone
Then I will walk alone
