In return for nothing
I give u my love
In return for nothing
I ask u to mend my broken soul
In hopes I can hold u
Through the darkest of all
In return for nothing
Nothing at all
I give u my heart
I give u control
Even when
I've been ripped

to shreds time and time again
If I don't keep trying
I never find love
I never truly
Feel like I deserve it
So in return for nothing
I sit here with you
Working out the kinks
Giving it my all
And loving u
For nothing but love in return

The author's comments:
In a great time of depression i wrote this piece to relieve stress and get away from the world for the measly hour it took me to write it
