Like rolling thunder
It lifts you through the sky,
it melts you through the clouds.
You see it, by you side
It lifts you through the air,
Like lightning in her eye.
It keeps you going,
Never stopping.
What if it's fake?
What if it's true?
You sat in wonder.
The words slipped through,
And from the Thunder:
"I love you"

The author's comments:
My girlfriend is the main thing that inspired me to write this poem, because every day she reminds me how important love is and how easily it can be taken from you.
