She Waits in Pain

Salty tears flow from her eyes,
Her shoulders shake uncontrollably.
She cries tears of pain and fear.
Her mother lives to hurt her,
Lives to hit her,
Lives to throw mean words at her.
All she wants is to get away,
All she wants is to finally be happy.
She waits until her day of freedom.
She waits in pain.
