Adrenaline pumps through me as I turn the corner
100 yards
I push myself harder, not seeing anything except the word Finish.
75 yards
My lungs protest, my legs ache, my brain screams no more.
60 yards
I don’t listen as I pump my arms for help.
50 yards
I hear the screams.
20 yards
I give it all I got.
10 yards
I can do this.
5 yards
I am a Runner.
