Daddy's Girl

July 12, 2011

I was always Daddy’s girl
Until he became the monster
He left, you see
Left me with a hair scrunchy
And a broken promise

For years and years
I survived
I kept my brave face on
Until he decided to reappear
But he was different
And I was too

I am no longer Daddy’s girl

I wish I could run to my father and just hug him. I wish I could trust him again.
