Finding (Someone like) You/ Without Finding You
All these years
I’ve been looking,
For someone just like you.
And recently
I found them,
And luckily it was you.
Looking for that someone
For me
Has now come to an end
Or so I thought.
Things started to bend.
I thought you were mine,
But soon realized.
That we weren’t meant for each other.
You weren’t ready,
It wouldn’t have been steady.
My heart shattered.
My brain rattled,
At why I was rejected.
But time moves on,
I moved along.
But,
At one expense.
As time chews through
I have to find
Someone I love,
Without finding you.
