Hidden Monster

Denial can be a man’s best friend,
Or worst nightmare.
Denial is a hidden monster,
Always pounding in your head,
Always pulsing through your veins.
Denial is ignorance.
Denial is bliss.
Denial is a proven weakness.
It never goes away, that hidden monster.
Karma’s coming and that hidden monster,
Won’t be in hiding for much longer.
And I’ll be waiting.
