Black as night
sturdy as stone
under the skin
of a league of sea
beneath a boats hull
rocking steadily
a crack in the ivory
thick as marrow

Liquid iron
skeletal palace
builds a body
underwater blueprints
sway with the waves
the strenght in fins
heavy as cement
unbreakable connections?

Deep pulsing blood
organs protector
splitting the sea
beneath sailors eyes
a creatures capture
but born a free beast
