Dream
Living in a world filled with
Questions and no answers
Dying
With no causing cancer
Smiling alone
With no tag-a-long laughter
Walking around with a heart that
Barely beats
Instead it just screams:
"I'M BROKEN! WHY WON'T YOU FIX ME?!"
Constantly
Happiness is considered defeat
Love is becoming harder and harder
To reach
Waking up in the middle of the night
No sleep
Because my heart still screams
Sadness creeps
Into my soul it seeps
Like I have some kind of a leak
Intoxicating the pureness I've stored within
The pain is showing on my face
Outside my inner skin
I fall into a deep slumber
Buried beneath my ribs
My broken heart lies under
Ssshh!!
Listen
It no longer screams
It's better this way
Life seems
When you're asleep
And your only responsibility is to Dream
