The Queen
You might think her a trophy
Or a diplomatic pawn
But play a single game of chess
You'll see her power drawn
Never underestimate
Never give her pain
She'll have her revenge
An eclipse of the rain
Earth's chaos has no match
The viper is too loud
You can see the venom beneath
In his glare, so icy, proud
Quieter, calmer, perfectly kind
You may never see
The one who weaves your doom
If the pretty face you seek
Never a pawn
Strongest on the board
So perfect...
...so beautiful...
So serene
But, I beg of you, please
Beware the Queen!

This is a little poem of mine, it's not my best really, but I had a lot of fun writing it. It is rather medieval and I like the idea of a powerful female, like on a chess board.
