"Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country."

I am black!
Never separated by
segregation.
My palms are white
just like everyone
throughout the nation.
I am white!
slightly lighter than
my darker fiend.
But our insides are similar
and will forever be
until the end.
I am mixed!
Like a plate of
white rice and black beans.
My palms are white and
my insides say
I am a human being.

My friends are all different. We come from various places and have different races. Our diverse cultures inspired me to write this piece.
