I was 5 when I first met it
It was round and hard
But soft at the same time
I watched my dad and sister play with it
I watched my sister
I wanted to be just like her
I kicked it
It didn’t go far
But there was nothing like it
When I was 6 I was playing with it
On a team
I had heart
When I was 10 we started club
It was harder
Faster
More work
I had heart
Now I am 16
Almost 17
I am still with it
It is my lovely, hated, favorite
Soccer ball
