We're Those People

You're that boy
who likes Canadian television
and can moonwalk
and has pet chickens
and plays guitar
and lives on the shore
and knows how to be polite
I'm that girl
who has freckles
and drinks Arizona Tea
and builds bonfires on the beach
and bakes cookies
and likes ukuleles
and speaks French
And we're those people
who hold hands
and go bowling
and sunburn easily
and talk about problems with our dads
and eat ice cream as we walk around this little town
with a million things to worry about
but not a single one on our minds.
