Her Pulsing red skin glistens in the daylight.
Her Outstretched arms and legs spread part,
She welcomes my entry.
Her elongated neck holds high with promising dignity-
Penetrating the brinks of the fogged blanket-
She guarantees an endless supply of freedom.
With her feet firmly planted beneath the soil, I know when I have finished my passing-
she will still be present.
Present where I had last saw her.
Where I first saw her-
and now.
And as the night softly brushes her concrete posts – verifying her stay
Upon my return, she remains standing tall…
Perhaps even taller than when I had last paid visit.
But this time, in company with nature’s demons,
Amongst the darkness she holds a seemingly visionary composure.
Her internal soul reveals itself.
Illuminating-
With hundreds of lights
Glowing.
And those lights with hundreds more
A display of countless energy orbs
Feeding the night sky.
It is here where I find myself greeted once again with the warming essence of perennial bliss.

This is a poem I constructed for my English course inspired by the golden gate bridge.
