New Children fresh to the world
Like a new flower blooming,
Not a care or a worry.
Fantasy surrounds them
Can it remain?
Pondering the world and all its problems
Shelter them with lies.
Debated and contested,
Yet always effective.
Arguments, disagreements, fighting
Rage and anger in the air
They look on confused and scared
Battalions of Lies stand erect
Ready for any situation
Like an ace in the hole
Serenity preserved
Wonder remains.
