The savior of the Union,
The man who could do it all.
Has saved us from destruction,
Has never let us fall.
The liberator of slaves,
The man who fought for justice.
Has stayed immortal, even in his grave,
Has been the President we all miss.
He took us through that dark, terrible war.
Where people died by the thousands,
Where there was only blood and gore.
He was the commander in chief and
The protector of freedom.
He fought for Democracy,
In a world for you and me.
This is Lincoln’s legacy.
