when you look into my
eyes
i feel your
gaze upon my soul
you see my heart
and know my loves
my soft spots

but every time you look into my eyes
i know that you can
see my mistakes
look into my brain and
see my past fails
my dismal misdoings.

when you look into my eyes
i know you see the truth
of me
no lies here
no hatred there
just me
plain old me.
