Favorite Quote:
When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses. - John F. Kennedy

I sat rooted,
kneeling beside my bed,
my hands clutching my face,
sobbing,

My years of mourning,
my years of pain,
heart's desire to love,
choked my fragile throat,

My heart shattered in pieces,
broken in bloody shards,
my life splattered upon them,

"So of your pity"
they whispered,
no lingering remorse within,
"So of your pity, fool"
They jeered,
Laughing in malice,

My body racked with sobs,
my heart crumbled and died,
I loved once,
I loved them all,
My heart as stone forever.
