"I'm in love with you, and I know that love is just a shout into a void, and that oblivion is inevitable... and I know the sun will swallow the only earth we'll ever have, and I am in love with you." Augustus Waters

I sit by the window seat
Watching nature continue to bloom
Watching the world continue to spin
But to me today is the end of the world
Because you are gone
I close my eyes
And a hint of a smile forms on my cracked lips
Because I'm thinking about you
I feel your warm touch as you squeeze my fingers
I smell the fragrance of your hair as you lean in for a hug
I see your smile that brightens the room
I taste our delicious memories of pizza at midnight and cake on my birthday
Then I tremble because your absence hurts
An ache in the part of my heart that you took when you left
But suddenly it's all okay
Because I hear your laugh
Like the chiming of hopeful bells
Signaling a new day
