Homeless Man
I walk down the street of the big city,
Catching sight of the many people,
Going about their lives,
Trying to live everyday to the fullest.
Then,
One person catches my eye.
He wears clothes that look as if they’ve never been washed.
He walks as if he’s been walking forever,
He is what people call
A disgrace to society,
A homeless man.
He has almost no possessions,
Except one thing,
He clutches a small teddy bear.
It looks brand new,
Even with a price tag on it,
Perhaps the bear is for his daughter.
He walks a little further,
And sees a busy women,
With a little girl crying by her side.
A little girl with nothing to play with.
He approaches the little girl,
And hands her the teddy bear.
The girl stops crying,
And gives him a hug.
Then,
One person cauaght my eye.
He wears clothes that look as if they’ve never been washed.
He walks as if he’s been walking forever,
He is what people call
A disgrace to society,
A homeless man.
Who still thinks of others,
Before himself.
