My Prince Charming

I see the way they look at her
As they hold her in their arms
Leaning in to give her a kiss

I see it in the hallways at school
In all the romantic movies
And pretty much everywhere I go

Then I look into the mirror and see me
Lonely, forgotten, ugly me
The only one with out a boyfriend or a first kiss

I look at myself and imagine what it would be like
And how it would feel to be held that way
To be kissed that way

I'd be the happiest girl in the world
Just like all the other girls
Holding hands and resting their heads on their boyfriends

If only I was prettier
If only...
If only...

If only... what?
And I think
What's wrong with me?

Why do the guys like her?
Why do they go crazy just hearing her name?
And why don't they think that way about me?

Will I ever meet a guy
Who will look at me
The way they look at her?

I ask myself this question often
And I fear that I will never find the one
That I can call my prince charming

I fear that I will be alone forever
And that I'll never be happy like the others
And I will never get that first kiss
