I look out the window,
and see God’s tears
soothe the SCORNED Earth.
I step through the door
and breathe in
the Devil’s BREATH.
I run through the street
and cut my feet on
the black SCARS of our Mother.
I look up ahead
and see the green fields
of PEACE.
I quicken my pace
and the TRANQUILITY
jumps out of my reach.
As I pursue Mankind’s DREAM
I realize that
IT shall never be mine.

I wrote this when it was raining outside and I was in a pretty melancholy mood.
