Branches Reaching for Heaven
Branches reaching for heaven
leaves long since gone and forgotten
the place where my mother's memory
rests.
Her laughter echoes,
I go there to remember.
this is
where my hope lies.
my thoughts are shed
in its comfort.
My prayers are spoken
and i'm left to wonder,
"when will we be together again?"
