Memories
They make you real.
Its memories that make you whole.
It starts with one:
Swimming in the greenbrier river
In Pocahontas County, West Virginia
With ice floating by wearing nothing,
But a bathing suit.
Then they begin to accumulate.
To make a lifetime.
If we had no memories,
We would not be here.

The author's comments:
Pocahontas County, West Virginia is where my father used to live. My dad moves around a lot. My parents were divorced when I was very young so I go to visit him in the many places he lives.

This poem isn't one of my best at all. Try reading the rest of them. Try reading "Life's Colors" or Blissful, I was" or one of the other recently posted ones. They are much better reads! Thanks, ~AEB
