You deal with everything I do and say,
Instead of turning and looking away.
When I felt like I couldn’t stand
You reached out and took my hand.
You led me through the darkness of night
Guided the way and showed me the light.
You taught me not to let small things ruin my life,
To live a life of happiness and not of strife.
Your heart is kind and your soul is young,
Your journey hasn’t ended yet just begun.
You are the father I never had,
Last but not least I want to say Happy Birthday Dad.
