For my people,
Who are friends with me today,
After hundreds of years of injustice,
And after all of the racism and segregation,
I'm sorry for my blacks.

For my people,
Who love me today,
Who have a voice now,
After a past of coming second,
I'm sorry for my women.

For my people,
Who work with me today,
After we have done making fun of you,
For all your struggle,
I'm sorry little people.

For my people,
Who make sure I sleep in America tonight,
After all the terror and blood red you see,
For the nights away from home,
I'm sorry troops.

For my people,
Who stay silent and alone,
a possible friend,
A diamond in the rough waiting to here you say hello,
I'm sorry for my stereotypes

For my people,
Who over time let the power get to your head,
Who self assure you an ultimate power,
May God have mercy on your soul,
I'm sorry for the white man.
