Remember when getting high
Meant swinging on the playground?
When protection
Meant wearing a helmet?
When the worst thing
You could get from boys were cooties?
When Dad’s shoulders were the tallest mountain
And Mom was your hero?
When your most awful enemies
Were your siblings?
When the most pain you ever felt
Was skinning your knees?
When all your goodbyes
Only meant until tomorrow?
And we all couldn’t wait to grow up?

This one was a random inspiration of mine. I was looking at photo albums with my mom and grandmother on Mother's Day when I got the idea. . . Maybe it's not so random after all.
