Their majestic love seemed at first to be something out of
A fairytale
The passionate feelings they shared were mutual
She was the vulnerable age of fourteen
He with the unpolluted heart, a fine young man he was

But the shooting star they called their love
Could not last forever
Montague and Capulet
A forbidden combination
As their love was
It would have to end
Violently
Sadly
Most of all
Unfortunately

The author's comments:
I was inspired to write this poem by William Shakespeare's classic tale, Romeo And Juliet.
