At Last

I stand,
High on top of a rocky cliff,
Watching the waves hit the rocks,
What would it feel like to jump?
Taking a deep breath,
I jump from the earth,
Into the inky blue water,
It engulfs me,
Wrapping me up in it's cold grasp,
I lay still,
As an unearthly force pulls me out to sea,
I feel the water slide over my skin,
I am at peace,
At last.
